since 01/2006 I have spent $939.39, but technically $927.39 thanks to the $12 they gave me back.

A more interesting question would be how much less that really is due to rebates.

Thats a pretty bad-ass HDD for 2002!

(If i remember correctly)


Also, it's quite funny. Over $200 for 120GB IDE, today you can get a Velociraptor for that much, or a 2TB hdd.

I remember getting my 160gb Hitachi for $120, and thinking what an awesome deal it was. I couldn't believe you could get so much storage so cheaply :^D

Yeah technology is crazy!

I remember thinking after I bought that how lucky I was, because I almost bought a 5-platter 75GB IBM "Deathstar" for the same price. 🙂

And in 1998 I paid over $1000 for a 9.1GB Seagate Cheetah 10k. Man that thing screamed!

Since my birthday (May 18th) of 2004. But you know what? I happen to know for a fact that I was purchasing stuff before then. There must be a way to get previous orders.

Sad thing is, most of that money is in the trash or was given away to friends. I'd estimate what I have currently only totals to about 3 grand.
