Can newegg deny me a replacement if they sent the item to me broke and I sent it back for a replacement?

Seeing as how you already have a thread up in OT, I'll grant you mercy and close this one. But don't cross post again.

They are saying I didn't send everything back with the board and it was broke. Well duh that's how I got it, why I need a replacement. So basically they are saying I am out $145, can I fight this?

i would either call or online chat depending on what you already tried, and ask for a supervisor.

I also like how the case that I bought went on sale on the 28th...I can get a new board if I pay them $45. So basically a $140 is going to cost me almost $200........................

They are sending my busted board back and I am getting a free replacement from AsRock (hopefully). Holding my board for 3 weeks and not telling me I will be charged $43 for a new one if I want one. I am done with Newegg. I am looking at 6+ weeks before I get a board and I have school that needs to be done. Luckily I can use someone else' computer.

Newegg has always been good to me and I've literally spent thousands of dollars shopping with them.

The only busted thing I received was a Cooler Master HAF 912 case. Upon arrival, it had dents and cracks at the top. I had no issues getting an RMA exchange for it.

Newegg is really anal about not receiving the item back in original condition/packaging with every single accessory. Which kind of makes sense. If you are getting an RMA, most of the time you will only be receiving the replacement for the defective item only, without any accessories or original packaging. So in order for newegg to still be able to sell it, they have to have the box and all the accessories for it.

Did he inform you that he didn't install it correctly and fried it?
Then yes I probably messed the board up. I had no clue those were standoffs until I read my manual after many failed attempts. My 1st build did not have them and it worked fine, I don't get that.

How does the case going on sale have anything to do with cost of the MB?

And this is why we can't have nice things. Because customers will lie and claim they didn't do it.

How the hell am I responsible for a bent pin? That's the only thing wrong with the board. Like I stated multiply times already. A BENT FRIGGIN CPU PIN. So hey guess I can run my $1200 computer without a CPU fan BLOW THE [stuff] UP!

ONE FRIGGIN CPU FAN I AM SUPPOSE TO FORK OUT $43. THE BOARD IS PERFECTLY FINE MINUS THAT DAMN FAN PIN.

STOP CALLING ME A LIAR. SICK OF THIS SITE TREATING ME LIKE [rubbish] BECAUSE I AM NOT A EXPERT FROM DAY 1! LET ME JUST LEARN EVERYTHING ON MY OWN. OVER BEING CALLED A LYING FRUAD.

No profanity in the tech forums

All well ASrock is charging me for a replacement board and voiding my warranty because newegg stole my shield. WE SHOULD ALL BE HAPPY NOW. Everyone wins but me.

What good does it do me to buy a 1 year accidental warranty if it doesn't do anything...I wasted so much money with Newegg...

CPU socket pin? Or CPU fan pin? The two are not even close to being the same.

No-one is mad at you for being a noob, but you will get pig-piled on here (and for good reason, this is a mature online community), for not accepting your mistakes at screwing up your parts, and trying to RMA stuff that you evidently screwed up.

Personally, I still suspect "fried board", rather than "one bad CPU (fan?) pin". (There are no CPU socket pins that control the fans.)

They're better off w/o you as a customer. Don't break things and try to claim they arrived damaged, that screws over everyone else. :colbert:
