Thanks for posting.

Yep, that is the lowest price I have seen on that particular drive ($5 discount is about as good as it gets).

Now if a person wants a Seagate 1TB drive, the price can go lower but is extremely rare for this to happen and it involves a rebate. (TD used to have the 1TB Seagates on sale for $39.99 AR FS earlier this year and last year, but I haven't seen that sale for a while now.)

I'm a little concerned that this drive is labeled both "bare drive" and "OEM".

True OEM WD drives carry ZERO factory warranty.

Newegg has been selling grey-market goods in the past. (Most recently, Netgear AC routers intended for the Canadian market.)

Edit: If you read the fine print, these drives can be returned to Newegg for a refund all the way up until Jan 31, 2015. That's plenty of time to receive the drives, and check the warranty status.

price per gb on that drive is horrid.

for an extra 30 why not buy a 2tb drive?

You can find one out there for a good price? The past few weeks they've been scarce. Just yesterday I finally saw some toshbia or seagates that were around $85-90.
