Newegg Vs. ZipZoomFly

Building my first rig... ZipZoomFly seems to be cheaper on most items, but I've heard lots of praise for Newegg. Any thoughts???
 
I use both. Its really a tought pick. Sometimes ZZF sits on my order for one day, and newegg usually ships the same day I order.

Newegg I hear has a pretty good RMA process too.

They are both GREAT companies. I usually order my CPUs from ZZF and everything else from Newegg. Newegg has a much better site IMHO.
 
I live on the East Coast:
if I order from ZZF Sunday night, the item is usually here on Wed (assuming ZZF don't delay my order for reasons).
if I order from NG Sunday night, the item can be here on Wed (if the item is shipped from the NJ warehouse), or Thursday (if the item is shipped from CA)
 
They're both really good. Just pick whichever is cheaper. Sometimes it's ZZF with their free shipping and sometimes it's Newegg even if they are charging for shipping. Seems like I end up buying cpu's and ram from ZZF, drives and other periph's from the Egg and it's a toss up on motherboards and vid cards.
 
I like newegg as well especially with the buyers comments, I buy most of my pc hardware and software from newegg. Just don't buy a LCD monitor from them,their megapixel policy sucks
 
Basically Newegg has generally greater selection while Zipzoomfly has free shipping for most items. The only real reason you should get something from Newegg other rather than ZZF is if you cannot find that item on ZZF (i.e. certain cooling products) because the same product will almost undoubtly be cheaper on ZZF (especially taking Newegg shipping into account) . . . the only notable exception is VGA cards which are noticeably cheaper on Newegg . . . also ZZF doesn't stock refurb'd items if your into that kind of thing . . .

I never have trusted the buyers comments from NewEgg mainly becuase those comments 9 times out of 10 are comments by people who have no prior dealing with the product other than well it works!!

Also I understand that NewEgg edits or has the right to refuse to post comments that are overly negative about a product!!

Both are great vendors. When I was working as a buyer for a computer reseller I'd bought 1000s of dollars of parts from both places for the store.

I tend to be a little more bias to ZipZoomFly because you can not beat free 2 day shipping and their prices are reasonable(Cheaper than most places that charge for shipping)
