Newegg vs. ZipZoomFly

Newegg isn't as good as they used to be. They still have the best website though. I like the free 2 day from zipzoomfly but Newegg takes 3 days so it is not much worse.
 
I ordered a printer on tuesday and it arrived at my house today from newegg. Shipping cost 6.95. Not bad.
 
Newegg is over priced. There's a reason pricegrabber/froogle/pricewatch exists. There are better site like jab-tech.com that gives equal service.

There's a reason there's a growing anti-newegg sentiment both here and in Hot Deals.

And Fatwallet as well which is the most important forum that newegg pays attention to.
 
Newegg is still the best for me. In fact I think I will post a topic singing both their praises as well as Fedex's.
 
I have always used newegg, but now it says that their Newegg Preferred Account has been temporarily disabled or something like that, and I can't order. I tried making a new username, no change. I am now ordering with ZZF. Their represenatives are the most clueless people I have ever known, they don't try to help me, they just say, "I don't know, just try restarting your computer."

actually i ordered 3520a & aopen cdrw/dvdrom from newegg and vnf4ultra from zipzoomfly on the same day. newegg was shipped with the fedex ground saver or whatever and zzf shipped with the free 2nd day, and i got them on the same day (3days later)! zzf was shipped from CA and newegg from NJ. I was impressed with newegg on this one but zzf has free 2day on more products then newegg has free shipping on.i also noticed zzf was a little slow updating the status of the order.

BTW i ordered my A64 3000+ (939), Seagate SATA, IDE Cables late last night and it says they are packed ;-)
 
I always check both before ordering anything. Just bought a video card and used ZZF. ZZF had 2nd day air as opposed to NewEggs ground and ZZF was still $6 cheaper. NewEgg is a good company, but they're not what they used to be. Ever since they started playing games by upping shipping charges to offset their sales they've lost a lot of the goodwill they had built up over the years.
