want a black one incase I ever go to a case where the drives are not hid and my cases will always be aluminum or beige

It says on Newegg that they're closed for Thanksgiving so it's doubtful any orders will be invoiced until Friday anyway. Anything with an MIR should therefore be safe to pick-up. Might as well before they're gone!

The case is so chaep I may bite. Anybody know if the case is any good? Doesn't look like it has any removeable drive bays.

The basic Skyhawk cases don't have many frills but they are at least a good as anything you are likely to find at this price. They do have thinner aluminum than the better cases (1.0mm vs 1.2 or 2mm) but the whole idea behind the aluminum case is light weight, right?
. IAC, Al is easy to cut, so make it the way you want it...

Sorry, I got this confused with the Aluminum 46 series. With metal only 0.6mm this one will be pretty flimsy... Personally I wouldn't buy a steel case less than 0.8mm SECC (SGCC is lower grade metal) or Al less than 1.0mm. Here's hoping thay package them well as the metal is about tin can strength.

Are you saying buying one mail order may be a mistake?

1) It is not aluminum.
2) It is not 1.0mm, it's 0.6mm. Many people won't buy 0.8mm.steel or 1.0mm Al.
3) Be glad it's not 0.6mm Al, that would be about as sturdy as my tin-foil hat.
😀

Otherwise, yeah it's about as good as can be found for $26 delivered.

Thanks. I'm gonna skip it. Maybe later get something more pricey.
