Hmmmm...the 120 GB OCZ Solid 3 (6 Gb/s) for $149.99 AR is tempting.

It is a SandForce drive and the reviews are hit and miss, though.

Newegg reviews are about as bad as getting advice from Yahoo! Answers.

I have one of these drives in my HP DM1z and have never had a problem. I see people bitching about firmware bugs and compatibility problems but I just haven't personally had any problems since installing it in February.

An sample of one (you) vs. many samples (yahoo answers or newegg reviews)- convince me you are right and they are cheating.

I am not trying to pick a fight at all... just trying to find out who is right.

I have no doubt you represented your experience faithlfully, but give me some supports to question this others (yea, I have my doubts, but help me and help a lot others too.....)

Thanks. Let's be objective..... I have a lot of products I like and a lot I dislike, but I do not say anything unless I am convinced (which is very subjective, I know.).
 
note that people are very quick to leave feedback when they have a negative experience (vent), and when things goes fine as expected when you buy something, you go along your merry way, rather than leave any type of feedback.
 
How are those hitatchi drives in raid5? Might replace some other drives if those are decent enough.. reviews are very mixed
