Oh man!!!!!!!!!!! Newegg customers service told me FX sold out in 17 minutes!!!!
$430..... Crazy!!!
Anyone know abt this FX VGA card? How good is it?

well, it's better than the reviews would lead you to believe. Apparently there was a bug in the nvidia drivers at the time which resulted in Low quality settings being tested at high quality.

Here comes Santa Claws too! 😛

I dunno...

I guess people with more $$$ than brains want to buy it, rip it, shine it, rev it, scoot it, skid it, jam it, rev it, skip it, gun it up and down the 101. Then ebay it! All because aliens ate their Buick.

Cheers!

Hehe I`m not really surprised, there`re lots of die hard Nvidia gamers about that refuse to use ATI cards period. When you take ATi out of the ball game you only have GF4 Ti or the FX models to choose from if you want the best ,so its no brainer where the die hard Nvidia fans are going.

Personally I like both ATI and Nvidia , however I`m going to wait awhile before I upgrade and decide on my next card.

In the end it`s their money and their choice so our opinions don`t mean jack 😉.Personally I don`t care what other people buy ,whether its ATi or Nvidia.

🙂

LOL, probably only one and I bet the person who put that in the databse for newegg bought it, lol 😉

seriously, I don't know

but the 9700Pro high quality still smoked it so that is not even an excuse 🙂

'cuz they're an Airhead, stungun and mace, Karmann Ghia plates say "lost in space."

Love that CD.

Me, I'm waiting 6-9 months so I can get FX level speed with quieter cooling and a $200-250 price. Until then my gf3 will work just fine.

I don't know man. High wind tends to spread fire not blow it out. 🙂 Plus the fire generates its own wind as well.

I wanna see more recent benchmarks too. I'm in the market for a video card in the $200 range right now (thats a lot to me, being a college student). Obviously this card won't qualify, but if it at least contends well with the 9700pro, the non pro version might slip quickly into a region near this level.

I believe that's mostly the carbon dioxide in your breath.

Yeah, but you force the air in front of your mouth into the flame by expelling the gas. The air hits it first. The premise is still sound anyway.

Heh, not really, the air you push out of your mouth cuts through the air in the room, it doesn't push it. (This is air not snow 😉)

Alright, I just tried an experiment. I lit a candle. I put my delta 7200RPM 80MM fan next to the flame while it was spinning. It blew it out.
