I bought a $15 add on card on Saturday from Newegg, used shoprunner and now it says it will be delivered on Thursday, by which calculation is that 2 working days??? o_O

Can I sue for emotional damage for unspecified amount and then settle out of court for a new motherboard?

Newegg is awful with shoprunner. I thought it would be comparable to Amazon prime when I tried it a few months back. The shipping method they use does get to you in 2 days, but it seems they take another 2 days before they actually ship the item.

Have you ignored the 9038745934345 ATOT threads on this topic?

In at least 20 orders over the past 3 years I've never had them ship a shoprunner order using 2 day method. They always use ground because I must be close to their distro facility.

The problem is that isn't guaranteed so occasionally it takes 3 or 4 days.

It's why shoprunner is basically free (at least I've never paid a penny for it in the 3 years I've had it).

Hello DesiPower,

Please know that order processing can take 1-2 business days to process before leaving the warehouse. Items sold by our Marketplace sellers can take 1-3 business days to process. We hope this helps, if you need any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at wecare@newegg.com with your order details and reference this post on AnandTech. Thank you.

Another reminder of why I haven't used Newegg in years.

They still don't collect taxes in TX, so I can pay it later :ninja:, taking that into account, most of the time Newegg is cheaper for me. This time around the product base price itself was more at Amazon, in my last few buys I have notices that trend, either Amazon has gotten expensive or newegg has gotten cheaper.

Newegg for specs/pictures (showrooming). Amazon for purchasing.

Naw, I'm still loyal to the 'Egg for computer parts and such, their shopping interface was years above and still is better than Amazon. IMHO it's when they tried to compete with Amazon by selling almost anything is where it failed.

It doesn't matter what day you buy something on or how fast your shipping was, they only count working days starting the day it actually ships out. It could sit there for 4 days in the packing phase before that happens.

How do people not know the difference between shipping time and processing time?

The worst part about ShopRunner is the fact that it only works on Newegg's newegg.com website. Do you want to use it on the mobile site? Too bad! Do you want to use it on their mobile app? Too bad! The only way to use ShopRunner in a mobile-specific manner (i.e. not trying to use the desktop site on your phone :p) is to use the ShopRunner app, which means you forfeit using any coupon codes.

Now, that's a third party service. So, you might give them a pass on it, but what about Newegg Premier? Guess what... it has the exact same restrictions! D:

Oh yeah, for buying computer goods, Newegg has the best interface to find what you want and the specs and pictures to actually make a sale. Amazon's description and specs might as well be: "We think this is a video card, or a toaster, it's one or the other". My problem with purchasing from Newegg comes solely from their shipping. Order a $180 4TB Seagate NAS hard drive, takes 10 days to get here from USPS. Order a $24 drive cage and it gets here in two days via UPS. 3-Day shipping should be their bottom of the barrel free shipping option. 90% of their things can fit in a USPS flat rate box, $7 anywhere in the US 2-3 days. Though they probably get better bulk rate than that from UPS/FedEx.

Yea, Newegg has been taken over with fail the last several years. Its a shame as their webpage is better for shopping/finding stuff vs amazons, but, Amazon is much more likely going to ship the correct thing in good shape in a timely manner.

Yep.

I can order something and have it delivered the same afternoon for 6 bucks. Or free/Prime and have it next or 2 days later...all three options of which will likely give me what I ordered before a Newegg order even ships.

Never had a problem with Newegg or Shoprunner. I've shifted my orders to Newegg since Amazon started to collect sales tax. I have to believe I'm not alone. I refuse to order anything over $50 from Amazon now. After tax, Amazon is more expensive than Newegg for almost all equivalent items. I'll be curious to see how sales tax has effected Amazon on items greater than $100. I bet Amazon sales are down by a huge percentage for >$100 items in states they collect sales tax.

0/1/2 day free shipping + great return policy + great customer service = I still spend hundreds every month on Amazon and never hesitate to buy > $100 items.

It's not like ya'll are supposed to skip out on the sales tax anyway.
