Newegg selling Fake Intel CPUs

I'm betting someone got a box of packaging validation mockup units. And screwed up by actually shipping them.

If that were the case, why would they print separate boxes that have typos in them? Look like fakes to me. I'd guess someone at the Egg/Intel is swapping out real ones for fake ones for a little profit. There's no way in Hell I'd pay the return shipping/restock fee if I got one of those in the mail.

I highly doubt the Newegg's management did this intentionally. Someone in the supply chain hacked in, made some dupes, and they got mailed out. I'm sure newegg is just as freaked out.

LOL, someone worked on the fake for a bit.

Wonder if they will give him any probs. Maybe saying he made the stuff and just wants a new cpu.

It's possible its a scam. By the purchaser.
It would be interesting to see what Newegg and UPS recorded for the weight of the package.
