Ordering multiple items with newegg is usually MORE than competitors. Most companies will combine your order to save you money on the shipping cost. Not charge you full price for every item.
 
I ordered the following and the shipping was $22....they shipped in two boxes...

CD-RW, CPU, MB, sound card, video card, hard drive, mouse, modem

so it comes up roughly for about $3/item
