I usually don't pay the extra 3 bucks to have my order processed faster on Newegg. Last night I ordered some stuff and decided to try it. Usually, if I plac an order on a Monday morning by 10, by noon it will be packed and ready to ship. it's still sitting on step 3. I'm wondering if anyone has any experince with the rush processing being any faster.

IME, Newegg has always processed and shipped my orders within 24 hours (except for weekends) so paying the rush shipment fee would seem to be a waste.

Waste. I've never had an order from the egg that doesn't ship out that same day or the next day. I always order Monday - Wednesday though.

actually, i ordered $1200 in computer components a few years back, paid for the rush processing, and sure enough, it didn't ship the next day. they refunded my rush processing fee, but i won't do it again, its a waste.

Waste. I've never had anything take longer than three days and I live in Georgia.

Waste, unless it's Wednesday late afternoon and you selected 3-day select for shipping and want to get the package by the weekend.. THEN maybe it's worth it, not many other times though.

Waste, I've tried it twice and it doesn't work. They ship within the same time frame regardless.

I've used it now and then if I order past that deadline, then call them up and they put it out that day anyways.

Sucks that I can't order from them anymore, since they don't ship up to Canada :(...I even emailed them and got a one line response:

Thank you for contacting us. We have no immediate plans to ship to Canada.

I *did* use it, and - I'm absolutely serious - they postponed my order an extra day.

we used it at my small business for a very large order (about 10K in stuff) and everything was shipped that afternoon. this was 3 years ago though when newegg was still an awesome little company. got everything within 2 days.

I've never used the rush, because nothing ever takes more than 3 days. But I usually order Monday mornings or Friday mornings. I prefer Friday mornings, because I'll have it Monday night.

Waste of money. I used it and it took the same time, 2 days, as my other "non-rush" order.

It's impossible for any of us to answer the original question, because none of us work in packing & shipping at Newegg. I do not know if they still do this or not, but whenever I would add rush processing and part of the order did not ship out that day - Newegg would automatically upgrade the shipping on the remaining packages so they still arrived on the needed date, *and* they refunded the rush processing fee.

woah, no sh!t a fellow mainer.

How are you both using the same computer without knowing each other? :p

WTH are you babbling about now? Who says they're on the same computer? They're in the same state. Why are you on this forum, you make no sense at all. Inferring things can be good, to an extent, this is a case where you'd be better off keeping your trap closed. (I should take my own advice)

Yeah, you really should. Especially when a joke goes WAY over your head, as I'm assuming most do.
