I got an X1950PRO from Newegg this past April and last week it died. I RMA'd the card but I don't have a printer or access to one so I couldn't print out the barcode they send you to put on the box. As an alternative, I just (clearly) wrote Newegg's address, my RMA number and customer number on a piece of printer paper and taped that to the box.
Their site says that without that barcode it'll take 3-5 days longer than normal to process the RMA. Is this true? Anyone else returned something to them without the RMA barcode on the box and had to wait an extra long time to get your replacment part shipped? My card got there today at 9 AM and it's almost 8 PM now and there's still no update on the RMA page. It's still at Step 1. I returned an acrylic case to them a year or two ago because it was cracked and that time I did put the RMA barcode on the box. If I remember right, my RMA was approved and sent out the same day they got it. I guess that isn't the "case" this time.
I know I just have ants in my pants and need to chill out, but my card took a dump the same day my Q6600 got here. And now although I have a kick ass processor I don't have a decent vid card to go with it so Im a little impatient.
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks.
