I don't know if you can drop it off... but you can always ask for an extension. I've had to do that before.

Why don't you stop by the local post office tomorrow and overnight it for the ~$20?

I suppose the real question is if you have the lappy shipped by the RMA date, with proof of course, will newegg accept it... just a thought ajtyeh.

You'll likely be able to work out something with them, since their customer support is good.

My question is, you pay $1900 for something that doesn't work and can't find the time to return it for a refund?

A lot of us are busy with life, and yes it's hard. That's why I miss rebates deadlines sometimes, but if your priorities are surfing slickdeals and grabbing the best deal 24/7, then yes maybe you will find time to make sure that your rebates and RMAs are in order, but for the rest of us, we make sure other things are in order first.

Overnighting a laptop will cost way probably at least twice as much as that.

$1900 isn't chump change.

I'll bet you never missed a $1900 rebate deadline.

don't trust the post office to get it there overnight...

find a fedex express station or fedex kinkos that has a saturday express pickup and overnight it from there...

Just tell their support that it won't arrive in time and they will issue an extension.
