I too got no "reward" by email and post reviews. And got only "thank you" email back. I did a count of my newegg order in 2 years. Its over 40 orders. No wonder my wife conplain. 🙂 May be those rewards are hand out in randomly. We just got no luck. 🙂 Still the reviews on newegg are true. They are a good store.

yeah, i don't mind doing the reviews, newegg def. deserves it - they are great! however, knowing that they are giving out goodies, i would like to "get on the bandwagon"!

Me too got email about free gift. Thanks Newegg. I guess i am in.

Not that I am /looking/ for gifts, but I have posted a review or two at reselleratings myself... (and have ordered quite a few times from them, as has my girlfriend)

Got a crucial keychain, a 3 in one stylus gigabyte pen, newegg t-shirt and some badges. Newegg Rocks, their prices aren't AS good as they used to be but still much much better than the average.

Yeah, I emailed them, got a "Thank You" email. That was it. meanwhile, I told my buddy to email them as well. He got case badges, keychain, and a T-Shirt. :|

My last comp order that was just about $400 went to Googlegear.

Ok - so you are pissed that you did not get something for free.

i too got the same thank you email...i'm not complaining because I constantly get good deals and great service from them 😉

I guess a newegg cs is keeping an eye on this thread, or someone post info to him/her. Cause i got email to my profile (which i usually do not check often) after i first post "no getting rewards" in here.

Last I checked I'm free to shop wherever I want to for whatever reason. In this case, GG was cheaper, and has faster shipping. THAT is why I went with them.

I just thought it was ghey They didn't hook me up. I had spent close to $600 with them (I know, that's nothing compared to some, but it's a lot to quite a few as well) as well as referred a friend who spent close to $900 with them.

I'm not going to not-shop there because of it, I really could care less, I need less junk around my house anyway. I was just adding my name to the "I did what they said, but got nothing" list.

I don't have a whole lot of use for the business card holder since my job does not require business cards in the first place. But...it was still very nice

Get a real job then 😉 J/K

I wonder how much money they spend sending all these goodies out? I like getting the free gifts, but I just wonder how long they can keep giving out free stuff?
Its actually probably profitable in the end for them to do this. Some of this stuff is probably promotional stuff they get from manufacturers for free. And even if they pay for everything, its probably still better for them as it brings larger orders and its more or less cheap advertisement. Its just like AMD sending out freebies to people. People then make posts about how wonderful they are and helps encourage people to buy from them.

i will say all except the newegg case stickers and hat are from their partners....
they paid shipping tho.

I got Asus black t-shirt, 2 newegg case stickers, a pen and a newegg hat.
along with the last pack: evga.com t-shirt, 2 newegg case stickers and a gigabyte crystal card holder.

My nice email full of praise was ignored. I received nothing in the mail or even an email acknowledging me!

UPDATE! I ordered a PSU from them a few weeks ago and received in a seperate package:

[*]Abit/Newegg tshirt
[*]GigaByte business card holder
[*]2 Newegg case badges

Cool stuff! I have no idea how they knew I was an Abit fan. 😉

I got the same stuff as Beatle, except it was an AMD Athlon XP shirt instead.

Thanks Newegg! You guys kick ass.

I'll repeat what I told the others who only received the Thank You email and then did not receive any Rewards....

Send another email to service@newegg.com along with your NewEgg customer # and/or the email addie you use to sign in when placing NewEgg orders. Include a link and the name you used to the site where you did the review. Let 'em know it's second attempt to reap your Rewards. They generally do ya fer two or more boxes like they did for Isman when they drop the ball. The reason they got behind is that the CSR's have been EXTREMELY busy and they're taking care of the orders. They added additional staff to take care of the higher volume of orders...seems like we REALLY like NewEgg and the word of mouth is spreading. The Rewards program is definitely a moneymaker for them. The Rewardees place larger, more frequent orders than the Unrewarded.

Hey! Let's get our favorite reseller past GoofyGear at PriceGrabber!!!! Just 800 or so more reviews will get 'em over the Dufus GoofusGear!!!!

I've also purchased plenty from them in the past, and never have received one "gift". I remember the good old days when buy.com would send out gifts to their customers, for no reason.

Hmmm, so buy.com would send their customers gifts for... "no reason at all, hey?"

YEAH RIGHT! Why do you think they sent out gifts? It's all marketing, dude. You scratch their back and they scratch yours.

As for Newegg, I am a relatively new customer of theirs. I have not long ago began building systems for friends, relatives, and the like. After looking at 100's of suppliers, Newegg is BY FAR the BEST! No if's, and's or but's about it!

TD can NOT touch Newegg in service nor price.... IMHO

To the OP of this topic -- Thanks for the heads up, guy! *high five*

I've spent at least 5k at newegg but since I found a local shop that actually beats newegg on everything I buy and is local with a great return policy I just can't bring myself to buy online anymore...

I placed a order today and i came back later and i see a order for $00 take a further look and guess what...

free gift 1 $.00
GIFT ITEM|SMALL GIFT 1 $.00

Subtotal $.00
Tax $.00
Shipping and Handling charge .00
Total $.00

I think NewEgg should have a rewards program for everyone who posts to a shopping forum with a price that's always higher than the same item can be bought elsewhere. Anantech for example.

Hmm, me and a friend have one account there with over $25,000 worth of purchases over the last few years (early 2001 i think?) I wonder what kinda goodies we'd get....🙂
