What do I do if I want to return a product purchased off of Newegg? I ordered an Arctic Cooling HSF combo, which I love, but in the same order, I got a Vantec "stealth" 120mm fan, which is anything BUT stealth. I want to return it, but I don't know how that works, could someone who has experience with that please explain to me what I need to do? Thanks :)

Call 'em up. The CSR is the one that will be speaking with you to help you find a good remedy. Usually, they do a very good job of making sure the customer is happy.

Newegg RMA is smooth. You will get hit with a 15% restock fee unless you phone a csr. You pay for return shipping as well, even if it was defective in the first place.

how do I go about shipping it back, I just e-mailed in the RMA request, was approved, and they told me what to write on the box, what now? How do I pay for re-shipping? I'm only 16!

You have to pay for shipping. Probably not not worth it for a fan, a 7 volt mod will get it quieter.

so just leave the sticker the box came with, and write down the RMA adress, and i'm good to go? How do I get refunded?

EDIT: OK, i'm good to go now, thanks guys. I just gotta go up to my local fedex store and get a new shipping label.

No. Make a new label addressed to Newegg. FedEx is going to charge you at least 4.50 to ship the item. Why don't you just keep it?

Newegg will refund you by whatever method you used to pay them.

old label has been torn off, I printed a new shipping label, and i'm going to my local fedex store to get a shipping label from them to cover the cost of shipping. Yea I know it's gonna cost me, but i'd rather get something back, than listen to that junk whirring around in my system all day. Funny, the minute I booted it up without the stealth fan, my system was so quiet I couldn't even tell it was on :)

Why don't you RMA it for another fan? They won't charge you restocking if you do that, you will have to pay return shipping still.

To get them to waive the restocking just email customer service and tell them you want to swap and they'll make a note of your RMA # so when it comes in you don't get the restocking fee charged to you.

ericgl's suggestion makes more sence, you will find a use for that fan eventually..trust me,just mod it to 7 volts (good experience anyway and cheap)
