when they state that you only recieve the motherboard, are they serious? do you ever get the accessories?

should i go with the chaintech vnf3-250 for $75 or the refurbed k8n neo for $79?

From what I understand sometimes people receive everything and sometimes they just receive the board...in all actuality they give you whatever accessories the person who returned it decided to give back...

Everyone I have ever ordered refurbed has arrive complete retail but these are mostly customer returned mobos. I think they sometimes sell actual factory refurbs and these are the ones without accessories so it's a YMMV thing and newegg is just covering themselves by saying you will not receive any accessories.

I got my Abit IC7Max3 from Newegg. I recieved everything in the retail box. Looked like a return but its been working for 8 months stable with a 700hmz overclock. I've purchsed a few refurbed parts from then no prob.

I bought a refurbed video card from Newegg that looked like a customer return. It had everything and works fine.

I've bought factory refurbed (truly refurbed) motherboards from other places. They may be missing something, but that something is usually available by download. The worst thing to be missing may be the IO shield, but I've always gotten that in the package. Never had a problem with any of them.
