Newegg problem?

Okay, I just ordered my entire rig off newegg about 30 mins ago.

After I got to the confirm order screen where you scroll down and enter your credit card nuber, I pressed confirm (or whatever it is to proceed) and it said it was PROCESSING and then it just brought me back to my shopping cart. I didnt get any confirmation that anything went through or anything like that, just sent me back to the shopping cart. Is this normal? If I go to Order Status, it says I have no orders. I also have received NO email.

I tried calling them, but their hours are only on weekdays.

Is this normal? I dont want to do this process again and be billed twice or anything like that! What can I do?

Any help appriciated. thanks!
 
just wait till monday. what type of cc did u use? if it was one of the visa debit one u can see if newegg preauthorized anything. chances are that if it was a big purhcase (>1000) ur card got rejected.
 
I've never seen that happen at Newegg, after dozens of orders.

My guess is that the order never got processed. The first step is always an email that says your credit card has been charged. If you didn't see that your are probably OK to re-order.

I'd go ahead and run it through again. Worst cases is that it would show up twice and you'd have to contact Newegg to head it off. The processing takes long enough to do that.
 
Welll, how long does the email confirmation take to be sent to you? I figured Id give em some time. I suppose you are right, plus if newegg notices two identical purchases they might become suspicious and understand whats going on.

The order confirmation email goes out almost immediately. The "credit card successfully charged" email is usually within a minute or two, but I did see one in my old emails that took almost twenty minutes.

If you got nothing back from Newegg, the order process either didn't get started, or their system is hosed. I've never seen the system hosed before, but it is possible. You could wait until Monday if you are concerned (and not in a hurry 🙂).
 
i've had htat happen to me before while ordering a whole rig for my friend. it never came. we waited 2 weeks and nothing, so we just ordered again and it came in 2 days.

BTW: If I am in New Jersey, and neweggs warehouse is in NJ too, and I picked "rush my order for 2.99" and Fed Ex Express Saver shipping, is there a good chance I will get it in by thursday?

Thanks, I am going to reorder in like another 15 minutes since its been about 45 now. But is there anything that says anything after you enter the CC and click proceed? Or does it just bring you back to your cart? I really just dnt want to be charged twice.

Go to your account > order history > and if you placed the order it will be listed there. If it's not listed placed a new order.

The exact same thing happened to me at NewEgg about a month ago, but, luckily, it was during business hours. I called and they said this does happen sometimes. I tried again online while we were on the phone and it happened again. She said if the orrder status page didn't show anything and I didn't receive the confirm email that there was no way I was billed.

She said I should place the order selecting check rather than credit card for method of payment, then call customer service and give my credit card number for the order instead of check info. I just waited and placed the order the normal way the next day.

i just had a great idea. for every thread about recommend a computer, i'm going to thread crap and tell 'em to buy prebuilt
