Anyone ever try it? Just placed an order for an ASUS GTX770 at $230. Hoping it will work otherwise they "say" they have a 30 day refund policy.

Ive purchased a few motherboards open box, they arrive in a white box, so if you don't care about the packaging, then they are usually fine.

If Newegg for some reason wouldn't let you return it, and ASUS told you to kick rocks (a highly unlikely scenario), that is what CC chargebacks are for.

I checked it out and they are out of stock. 🙂 I kind of been keeping an eye open for a open box 770 and cheapest I seen them open box so far has been $279.00! At $230.00 it would be real hard for me to refuse not to get one.

Bestbuy.com has a brand new new PNY 770 2GB for $309

$230 for an open box is a steal! But $309 for a new one is a pretty darn good deal as well!

Thanks NWO, but I am only looking to go SLI if I could get a 770 for like around $200.00 (OB or maybe used) or so. I even check e-bay for used which I don't really like buying a vc used from e-bay imo and even on e-bay used they are like around $270+. If I could get 770 OB on Newegg shipped for $230.00 or less with the 30 day return I will most likely buy one, if not I'm good with the single 770 oc for now.

I've had good luck with open box. Got a Radeon 5770 for $100 when it retailed for $150 at the time.

Got it in today. It came with accessories (which was a manual and a 6 pin to 8 pin adapter). So far seems okay. Able to get a semi decent OC on it. As long as it doesnt die on me in a few months (5870 lasted 5 years before I sold it)
