Just received from Newegg:

Dear Valued Customer,

We noticed that you purchased a SOYO SY-P4RC350 Motherboard from us between 10/21/2004 & 11/16/2004.

As you may recall, our website advertised a mail in rebate for the SOYO SY-P4RC350 during that time. In partnership with SOYO, wed like to make sure youre able to redeem both rebates.

SOYO has provided a web-based application that allows you to check the status of your SOYO rebate(s) online. To use it, simply log on to www.verifyrebate.com. Alternatively, you can e-mail soyo@verifyrebate.com or call 909-292-2528 during regular business hours (9:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m., Monday Friday) to speak with a SOYO representative who can help address your issues or concerns. Please make sure to include your information such as first name, last name, mailing address as registered on the rebate form in the email to expedite your rebate verification process.

Please contact SOYO after the period of processing your rebate has passed (10-14 weeks, as stated on the rebate form) if youre having trouble redeeming one or both rebates. If you need a proof of purchase to support your claim, you may visit the My Account page at www.newegg.com to print out an official invoice.

As a gesture of goodwill, SOYO would like to offer you an exclusive promo code redeemable for $10.00 off your next purchase of select SOYO merchandise at Newegg.com. Good news for those who got in on this, it took over 4 months to get a soyo rebate (through monarch), and i've avoided all soyo rebates since. I hope this leads to checks being sent out ASAP.

Thats why I buy most of my computer parts from NewEgg even though they are a little more expensive than the other guys. Thumbs up for NewEgg.

I bought a soyo motherboard and CPU combo with MIR. I mailed it in March 04 and finally got the check in Jan 05! I bought the combo through Tiger Direct. They really sucked. I left e-mails on a weekly basis to rebate@soyo.com and they did not reply to any of them! I also sent e-mails to Tiger Direct and they could not help me either! I promised myself that I would never buy any SOYO product with MIR!

I'm still waiting on $40 in Soyo rebates from July of 2004. I will believe that their asses have been kicked when I actually receive my rebates!!!

lol! I second that.

I was hopeful when I received my first and then a second rebate check from Soyo; about five or six weeks overdue, requiring me to contact them twice asking where the heck my checks were, but I got them.

I've still two outstanding rebates checks that have gone well beyond six weeks overdue and Soyo isn't responding to my emails like they did before. The SY-P4RC350 that I bought from Newegg is my last Soyo rebate deal, period.

i jsut bought them for free and then sold them on ebay and good prices for others to buy. So, i got some of my money back. but, this doesn't meen I'm going to give up on $240 in rebates.

I've called and emailed with noo response, EVER. I just got my rebate statu upgraded to APPROVED on verifyrebate.com though, whatever that meens.

Email to this address.

Use the fax #. I fax my info in for two rebates on Monday, received both checks in the mail today! After 5 months I finally got my $75.

I faxed my info Thursday and my submission (with the postmark date from when I actually mailed it) now shows up online, and the checks show sent. w00t!

I wasn't part of this deal, but did get some great customer service from the 'Egg a few weeks ago.

Bought an Aopen combo drive (cdrw/dvd-rom) from them, that they offered a $10 mir for, but only if you purchased during a 2-day period. No problem, got my order in on time, and eagerly awaited the drive.

The next week (usually takes 5 days for stuff to get here from Newegg) I got the drive delivered, and went to fill out the rebate paperwork, when I noticed a HUGE problem. The rebate needed a upc from the retail box......and this drive was OEM!! :Q

I checked my paperwork, and checked Newegg's site, and noticed that they only sold the OEM version of that drive, so called them up. Spent a couple minutes explaining the situation to the CSR, and he put me on hold for a couple minutes while he verified my findings. When he came back on the phone, he apologized for the inconvenience, told me that I was absolutely right, and told me that he was giving my credit card account a $10 credit, and I wouldn't have to mail in the rebate. WOW!! 😀

If only the other retailers in this country would understand that by bending over backwards to make certain that I didn't get screwed in this deal, Newegg has ensured my continued business for a long time to come.........and that they could do the same, if only they cared to do so!

There are only a handful of retailers who stand behind what they advertise. And Newegg is one of those :thumbs up:

I don't see NewEgg or Soyo being to damn generous. The $10.00 off a board that is overpriced by $100.00 is an insult. Just give me my damn rebate money please. $75.00 please. Thank You. Whats with all the BS and PR. Just fufill you obligations and be done with it. And yes NewEgg has a degree of responsibilty here. They advertised the product with the rebate included. They profited from its sale. They sold it to us. You know damn well none of us would have that damn board if it wasn't advertised with the rebate.

I have not yet started to hammer NewEgg with this yet but have however, cc'd my mails to Soyo with Service@NewEgg.com. I still have the board. Its a POS. I will send it back to NewEgg for a refund. I will file a complaint with my CC company and use every other avenue available to me. It is absolute BS that you should have to go through this kind of crap with rebates.
