Why does Newegg not have forums like these or the ones Monarch has. How can they not have them. Sure they have reviews but cmon. Thay could really rake it in if they had a few dedicated staffers to man some boards. AEG, hell who needs AEG when you got the whole market cornered. Do you think it has ever crossed neweggs mind to get some forums up? If so what would be holding them back?

Forums at the site where products are sold really make it difficult to maintain objectivity. It's a slippery slope. How fair and honest would you expect them to be? Like reviews, if somebody posted about a bad problem or experience with Newegg, would those be magically deleted before anyone else can read them? I have never been impressed with Newegg's customer service, but I am impressed with their prices. As long as the keep things at a fair price, I honestly don't care in the least what people would say on their website about the products. That is what a forum like anandtech is for.

Not to mention the extra employees necessary to maintain a forum that would be wilder than (ATOT * Slashdot) would drive them into another tax bracket

also you cannot be serious in any sort of way that you actually read those reviews that are posted at NewEgg do you??

Think about it for a minute.......
lets say what if.....
My video card goes out.....
I order a card through newegg it gets here in the proper amount of time plus because my old card was outdated I got a top of the line Vid card.

So my review would be...
WOWza this new card really roxors. Thank to newEgg for getting my card to me in a fair amount of time. Thx NewEgg!!

Ok..thats the typical post......so what can you gleam out of that that tells you anything technical or would help you make up your mind as to what card to get??

At best those are NOT reviews being posted.
They are customer satisfaction comments!!

Go to a legitimate site that reviews products to form your opinion good or bad!!

I had a problem with monarch just over a year ago. They sent me a wrong CPU preinstalled in their "MB/CPU combo". I posted on their forum (complaint), and whole threads started disappearing. No phone calls returned... After I posted about the whole shady experience here, threads re-appeared.

So I think monarch's forums are a waste. IMO you really need a third party unbiased forum to accomplish anything meaningful.
