Man, I hope AMD can generate the excitement they had with the R9 290 last November now with their R9 290x. $300 for perhaps the best 290x on the market is unreal. The rebate is only good for purchase through 1/31/2015 though, so be quick if you want a ridiculous gaming card at an upper midrange price.

Nice deal. And hmmm. I recently got and am using my Sapphire Tri-X 290 which I got for $240 AR a couple of weeks ago when the Visa Checkout deal was going on. This deal and news of possible additional price drops on the 290/x 'scare' me a bit but I think I'm just going to keep this card no matter what.

If you're talking about the rebate, I'm seeing the 31st as the expiration date.

Same here, but when you go to the online rebate form, the purchase date highlights are from the second to the 30th, so I dunno. We shall see... lol I ordered it shortly after midnight, stupid verified by visa stuff slowed me down.
