Newegg lowers prices of 8800gt

Well yes the lowest priced cards are the 256mb versions however notice that the 512mb versions are also drifting downward as well. My order with dell for the 512mb cards for $207 will stay in place unless major retailers slash prices before dell fills it.

Uh, try the link..

edit: Toyota, you must be seeing the 256bit memory interface.. now you feel foolish don't you 😛

Im not being a dick. only thing I said to you was "are you blind".

There are no 256MB 8800GT's in that link. Maybe the web pages haven't propagated to all newegg servers yet. So some see it, and some don't depending on which server DNS resolve takes you to.

the 512mb versions have not shifted at all in price since last week. at least at newegg, zzf or clubit.

I'm not seeing any 256MB cards in the overall listing, again, even though I can follow direct links that show the cards are in stock. Annoying.

In any case, I'm hoping that the fact that they are willing to use chips to build the lower end cards mean that supplies are improving. Maybe vendors won't be able to price gouge so much.

In the mean time, MWave has the stock card 512 from PNY in stock for $259 (+~8 shipping to Seattle)
