They are probably making ~5.00 off each chip, but they do VOLUME sales.

While I agree that the 1600+ for $52 is a good deal. I think the 1700+ Thoroughbred is a better deal. It is only $5 buck more. Yeah I know that it is a Thoroughbred A but it comes factory unlocked and you'll get a better overclock that the 1600+

AMD is still king of the value segment. Newegg always has some good deals going. The two make a great combination.

Awesome deal. It makes me wish I could upgrade my 800MHz AMD Duron. If only I could convince my parents to let me spend $50 of my own money on my own computer...

Newegg.com makes their money by offering some great products are low prices. They are also the nicest people IMHO to return products too. Now, if they would only get some more case mods and Ram Sinks.
