Newegg is annoying me now... their shipping is horrible for low-priced items which makes them high-priced.

I used to use Newegg for almost any computer part I ever needed - including cables. However, their shipping prices lately are outrageous.

For three cables with a total of $19.03, my shipping (cheapest) is $12.94. For my previous orders... $6.95 total, $4.95 shipping and $74.95 and $21.94 shipping.. BLEH.

What should I use instead of Newegg to order small things like cables, usb hubs, adapters, etc? I'm sick of being raped on shipping. I'd rather they just have slightly higher prices and be a little more honest on shipping.

I and everyone else around here has been saying this for a while. I steer clear of newegg unless they have something ultra rare.

This is the site I use and they usually have decent prices on cables and shipping, especially if you are getting more than a single cable. I got a 12' USB cable from them for like $2 a few months ago.

i just ordered another 1gb of ram. shipping was like $3 for the lowest and came in under 24 hours from newegg

Me too.
they are not low priced, they have high shipping charges.
ZZF :) for either the same price, or a dollar more... free 2nd day shipping.

ZZF 2nd day shipping doesn't include the 2 days it takes to process your order. Newegg is much much better at getting your item out the door and on the truck. I do agree though, newegg is not an ideal place to purchase things like cables.

Wow, you get charged that much and you're in Florida? I can't shop NewEgg anymore, it 'costs' them a minimum of like $50 to ship anything here to be (I'm in AK), so I found some new stores to shop at (ZZF, SVC, etc).
