Also available at Amazon, since some folks hate Newegg with a passion.

Amazon has bundles for this CPU with B650 or B550 motherboards, too. :tearsofjoy:

As reported by someone, turning off two E-cores will enable more cache to be available for the remaining two E-cores in the efficiency core cluster which can improve gaming performance in some games. This is what the Intel APO app is doing. So instead of using that, you can just sacrifice two cores for the greater good. And I think it should also allow the two active E-cores to boost higher too due to less heat generated in the cluster. My preferred configuration (whenever I start using my dormant 12700K) will be to disable HT and two E-cores and have 10 threads available for games with none of the performance loss possible due to hyperthreading causing cache contention for the threads running on physical cores and also more cache available to the two E-cores by disabling the other two E-cores. Sounds like a solid gaming first strategy to my mind.

You can get a similar combo at Microcenter but with a 12900K instead for $400. Obligatory "if you're lucky enough to live near Microcenter"

12700KF on amazon for $190.

Newegg responded with a $50 off code to match it. But it is a good point @manly made about many not shopping at Newegg because of all of the shenanigans they pulled. I almost exclusively use them for browsing, and end up buying from Amazon with 5% cash back, faster delivery, and same or better price. I know some boycott Amazon because they are not employee friendly, but you have to pick your poison and I've spent years building up a resistance to iocane powder.
