These will probably be gone by the time anyone reads this...but I think it's a pretty good deal. Of course, they may end up with a lot of these as it seems these boards are shipping with a lot of flaws.

Yeah, I got in on this yesterday when they first appeared for $79. My better-half is going to kill me. I just built a 2.53 p4 system spec'd out, less than a month ago. Told her that was it for a while, and now this? Well on a good note, I'm upgrading my epox 8kha+ to this at a unbelievable price. Now I must get a t-bread or barton chip to oc.

Where does it end?

Well the epox 8kha+ that I got from them for $69 was brand spankin' new, with everything incl. in the retail box. I've been running it for about a year w/o a hiccup! There warranty has change since then, but I believe newegg gives about 15 days on refurbs.

What's the difference between the A7N8X and the A7V8X? That one's $69 and has Serial ATA RAID, which seems like a better deal. Is this not a good board?

The chipset is different. The a7n8x has the better chipset.

This is the ASUS board I currently buy from newegg for my client systems. $70.50 and it has everything! I love it!

DOH. I bit on this. Damn hot deals! Damn You ;) . I just bought a 7vax and then I saw this and spent the money I was supposed to be saving. lol . I also bit on that geforce4 ti4200 at BB. I wonder what kind of condition my mobo will come in from newegg considering its refurbished. Lol so hard to control myself in here. Now what to do with my two extra mobos. hmm.. OK time to sleep.

I returned one of those boards to NewEgg. It had a very subtle defect that would drive people crazy. When I first used it it was fine and stable. Gradually the performance deteriorated. It actually shut the system off at times. Turns out that the board has thermal protection and will shut down if it thinks the CPU temps are too high. This would be fine but it was a defect since the temps were just fine.
I returned the board but if that board was checked out it would seem fine since the heat sensor only spiked once in a while. I don't know if these boards actually go back to Asus (It might still check out fine) or are returns.
You might get lucky or you might get my old board.
Just my one data point.
