Newegg: first impressions

I just want to post some positive experiences I've had with Newegg.

When I was ready to order, Newegg didn't have everything I wanted in-stock, so I waited a few days. When they came in stock, the prices of other parts I wanted were lower! The ordering itself was easy. I was a little disappointed that my order was stuck in the filling step for 2 days, but I wasn't in a rush. Plus I paid for the cheapest shipping, so it didn't bother me too much.

What really won me was the fact that the must have noticed the delay, and upgraded my shipping to fed-ex next day! They tried to make up for their delay by quicker shipping. This was a very nice gesture on their part.

Has anyone else had positive results with newegg?

Newegg is pretty good, and definately worth checking. But if you order more than one thing my conclusion is that they gouge you moderately on the shipping.

when i upgrade... I get every possible item I can from newegg... you can't beat their customer support, selection and prompt delivery! They are my favorite place to shop online!🙂

I don't find Newegg gouges on shipping at all. Their FedEX Saver (3 day) prices are similar or cheaper than UPS Ground (5 - 7 day). A great deal for east coasters.

I've ordered thousands of dollars of stuff from Newegg. Not a single problem. My only complaint is that they don't offer retail versions of many of the OEM products they sell. It's a small complaint, but I'm that way 🙂

If I were to order all the parts for a system from ONE store. It would be Newegg. (You can't get a more glowing review than that from me 🙂 )

Two other stores I've had good dealings with are MicroX-press and Comp-u-plus. Good places to go when Newegg doesn't carry something I want 😉

Go to Newegg and build a complete system, sans monitor.

Last time I did that shipping was $35. Dell charges more than that.
