I've had a similar situation before, and I believe they will pricematch only if the items have not yet shipped out.

I chose overnight shipping (set to arrive on Monday 4/23), so I don't know if I'll be able to catch them before it ships out since their service center is open only Mon-Fri.

For $75 more, it is still worth it so even if I can't get the lower price, I will still hold on to the CPU I think.

I can always make up the difference by overcharging an ignorant relative "a little extra" to buld them a system.

I had heard that some price drops were in store, but I wasn't sure exactly when, what chips were slated to drop, and what prices they were going to.

I saved $130 on the RAM and video cards by buying them this week, so at least that helps a little.

Newegg customer service shines yet again.

I just got the $75 dollar credit, so I'll definitely be be building another system with this kick@ss processor once they are back in stock.

Rock on bud. Thats really great to hear. I ordered all my stuff yesterday thinking i could do the same thing if the price dropped monday. Now I'm reallly glad cause the E6600 and the eVGA 8800 GTS 320 are both out of stock.

I'm glad I got in early on it too (I ordered the eVGA 8800GTS for both new machines as well), because pretty much everything I ordered is now out of stock as well.

Enjoy your stuff when you get it. I know I will.

Now it's time to look out the windows for the UPS guy every 5 minutes.

I really dont think its going to be sub 200 anytime soon. As for whether you should wait, that really depends on your needs.
