I ordered a hard drive and a Multimedia card at around 10:00PM on Thursday NIGHT. (the 2nd)

TV LEADTEK/DELUXE TV2000XP TV/FM <--from the Hot Deals forum
HD 80GB|WD 7200RPM 8MB WD800JB

And I used the free "Fed-Ex Express Saver" that came with it. I did not pay extra for the "fast processing" that they offer, and this is the result:

Left FedEx Ramp...........................LAS VEGAS NV 01/04/2003 07:04
Arrived at FedEx Ramp.................LAS VEGAS NV 01/04/2003 06:21
Left FedEx Sort Facility.................LOS ANGELES CA 01/04/2003 01:49
Left FedEx Origin Location...........CITY OF INDUSTRY CA 01/03/2003 14:06
Pickup status...............................CITY OF INDUSTRY CA 01/03/2003 13:18

We are talking about 36 hours order to door with free delivery here. They were fast before, but this is nuts. Goooooooo Newegg!!
:D

They don't combine shipping, do they? Like say I order 3 items and two are free but one is $6. How does it work out?

Pretty sure you have to pay that $6. Both my items had the free holiday shipping. If you go to the site, go to your shopping cart and click the "calculate shipping" by the total after putting in your state.

I was pissed when newegg stole multiwaves site format but they sure took the ball and ran with it. They took online tech retailing to a whole new level and never looked back. The site continues to get better and their customer service shows their serious about your business. VERY impressive.

Like I posted in the one of the other newegg threads, my order was placed on Sunday night, and it was at my door Wednesday afternoon. California to Connecticut, coast to coast in three days baby! It was the free Fed-Ex saver shipping too, with no fast-processing, etc., just the normal ordering process. 5 days seems really excessive, you sure Fed-Ex didn't try to deliver and you weren't home? They won't leave packages like UPS does, unless they have prior authorization from you.

Hehe depends where on the EC I guess....I live in DC, and Dulles Airport is a massive hub for Fed-Ex, 2 nights for me delivery to door. (Monday ships, at my door on Wednesday morning).

By the way, where do you find out about Computer shows? I'd like to hand pick my next CPU :)

Most are computer shops scattered around NY, NJ and PA that set up tables. Everything big comes with a warranty and a receipt. Plus its a seperate company thats been running the show for around 20 years. If you have a problem that you can't resolve between the vendor, then you contact the organizers. You really shouldn't jump to conclusions.

Yeah, Newark Airport has a big FedEx area.

I depends on the Show Organizers. The show I go to is run by KGP Productions which only organizes shows in NJ with some scattered in other states. On their website they have MA listed, so I really can't speak on their behalf. I've seen advertisments for Marketpro whcih seems to be all over the country but I've never attened one of their shows...
