If $40 now could beat a card that was $260 two years ago (and at the end of a very long cycle), I'd be crying.

Tom's video card hierarchy chart puts the Radeon HD 4670 into the same tier as the Geforce 8800GTS 320MB :p

That's about right. It's kind of hard to compare last generation to this generation. But...

g80 vs g92

As you can see the 8800gts 320 is basically as fast as a 9600gt.

The 9600gt is the direct competitor to the 4670.

xbitlabs 4670

Even anandtech equates the two? Huh

9600GSO can be had for $40 on Newegg = 8800GTS 320 more or less
9800GT for ~$80 > 8800GTS 640 which was $399 2.5 years ago.

OR how about a 4890 for $170 today is more or less as fast at GTX 280 at $649 (or was it $649? $499 weeks later) launch price June 2008?

Buying a card right at launch is usually an expensive proposition.

Digitalduck, if you sell your card for $60, then $140 GTX 260 216 may not be a bad upgrade. Just overclock your cpu and get 2 gigs of ram.
