newegg = crash?

anyone else having the newegg site crash their firefox browser? whenever i try to load a category it will sit there and not load the pictures or just flat out crash. 😕
 
I'm good with newegg here ... my complaint is it's taking 6 days to ship a scanner from Tenn to FL ... when they said it was a 2 day ship ... I'm trying ZZF next time.

Newegg changed to ups ground for regular shipping now (big mistake) ... my scanner is 20 miles away now ... but UPS doesn't work Sat & Sun, and they are off Monday ... it will be Tues before it's on the truck ... and there's no way around their "union" rules. 🙁
 
hrm, I thought brown worked on saturday.... although I could be wrong. I do know that they still offer fedex, just it costs more.

No, they don't do Saturdays now ... and for an $89 Canon 4200F, it's not worth the extra $ ... plus I was testing Newegg ... what they promise now is totally dependant on UPS's schedule ... have a friend who works for UPS ... he ships and orders Fedex ... 🙂

yeah I ordered something from them today, almost went fedex, but was like, meh, it'll get here soon enough.

Leper Messiah's rule: If you think a major website (google, newegg, etc.) is down, there is a 99.9% chance it isn't, so don't bother posting it.
 
iI actually had a really weird issue with the newegg site for a while. everytime i would view a page my computer would restart. It ONLY happened when vieing newegg, nothing else. Turned out to be a memory issue.
 
Ok ... I miss your point ... who said anything about "down" ... we were talking about the switch from FedEx Express Saver to UPS ... and what a disaster it's going to be for Newegg.

They get it out the door for the right price ... and now UPS really can screw it up. Ok, I ain't paying the extra money ... when ZZF offers free FedEx 2nd day.
