And what if newegg didn't "gouge" and sold them at MSRP? You very likely wouldn't have gotten one anyway because they would have sold out in a very short period of time and you'd find yourself crying about that too...
And lets not lose perpective. If any of you guys have owned a house for a while, the value has very likely gone up... a lot. If you go to sell it, wouldn't you ask for the highest possible price the market could bare? Thought so... and a roof over our heads is a lot more necessary than the latest chip of silicon.
You call that perspective? I'm a damn real estate appraiser and I know full well that real estate is NOTHING like the tech market.
Values start high (depending on where and what it is) and goes UP more likely than goes down. A piece of technology (Core 2 Duo for one example) Is worth the most only at the time of release. Then it is all downhill until it reaches budget status eventually. I will not buy from Newegg, because I am finally sick of the gouging. And they are asking almost DOUBLE what the MSRP is supposed to be. That is shameless.
