I had a crappy experience with them last week. I ordered a new video card on Saturday the 15th, but I accidentally switched around two digits in my Visa number. Every day for several days I called them to explain my mistake and have them try to fix it, and each time I was assured it would be fixed immediately and get sent out right away, yet I continued to get auto-emails saying transaction not authorized. Finally a week ago today it was declined and cancelled. So I re-ordered and followed it with a complaint email. The response I got was "Sorry it didn't work out the first time, but look! It should arrive next Tuesday!" At least it did. You think they'd step up the shipping for my troubles.

Actually, Dell gave a pretty similar customer service experience about 2 months ago. I was really impressed with how they handled the issue.

I read online that Xioxide.com or however it's spelled did the same thing. So that they woudln't get a bad rep on RSR they replaced this guy's case and gave him a huge discount. Something like 30 percent on his next purchase, free shipping all for a small ding that was in a case or something very cheesy like that. I probably should have bitched about recieving a case from Newegg when half of the pegs that hold the front bezel on my new case came broken insted of fixing it myself. :(

Additionally, I think Newegg's current return policy is very fair.

Dell has always been good to me. I've replaced a monitor and a CD-ROM drive and both times, they sent me the replacement first and asked that I box up the broken item in the same box. Shipping via Airborne was completely paid for too so I only had to call them to pick up the package.

I've been buying from ChiefValue for a long time now, and of the times that I needed to return products, they've been very helpful. I've had no problems whatsoever.

Good prices plus fast shipments equals an online company that will continue to get my business.

Newegg sent me an invoice by email today. I have a free gift on the UPS truck right now.

Value is $10. Hope it's something good.

update: UPS just came. Newegg license plate frame and a "T" shirt. It's large and I wear extra large.

They have terrible CS, and their obvious attempts to buy back your vote on resellerratings just goes to show they too are aware of it. They lost my business a long time ago.

Hahaha the irony. Seagate just bought Maxtor.
