I am considering NewEgg.com because they have pretty high ratings with ResellerRatings.com. But I'd like to know if someone here ordered and later needed to return a product to them.

Say they ship me a defective motherboard, will I be able to return it and get the $ back or exchange it for the same item?

Please post this or any other related info about NewEgg.com

I had to RMA a motherboard that I messed up and they didn't give me any problems.

Newegg will take stuff back within a certain amount of time. They usually charge you a 15% restocking fee, but if you tell the CSR that you're going to order something of roughly the same value as the returned item then they'll waive the restocking fee.

BrunoPuntzJones,

I saw somewhere on their site that their OEM cpus have 30-day warranty (compare this to 1 year of mWave.com!). Of course mWave's cpus cost more by about $15 (at least!)

What I really hate is that you *must* order online. I don't trust "online"! I want to call and confirm the product being in stock, its price, warranty, etc.

Is it just me?..

Yeah its just you. ;)

But I too messed up my own mobo (when I burned my CPU) and they replaced it. Well, I didn't tell them that part about burning my CPU, but the service was VERY quick (they received my return and sent out a new mobo the same day using Fedex Express Saver).
