13X multiplier? You getting to 4Gz with turbo on right?

Mine came 100% unlocked. I have a thread about it

Sadly I just sold it with a GTX 570 for cash as I didn't really need it for the Res I play at.

MINE:

Got 1. Thanks.

Apparently there are some units with unlocked multiplier O.O. But even if mine will be locked and I will be able to get FSB to 250Mhz, I'll be fine with 3.25Ghz + Turbo (w/e that would boost it to) 🙂

If you have a heatsink already and were thinking of getting an FX-6100, get this instead. Much cheaper, and faster when both are overclocked. Phenom II X6 @4.0GHz=FX-6100@4.3-4.4GHz.

Just ordered one. Thanks.

This will be a nice drop-in replacement for an old AII X2 system. I was thinking about building a whole new system just in time for the annual DC holiday races that usually start soon. This year, I wanted to participate again, but building a new box that doesn't get a lot of use (mostly use my work pc and my laptop) would cost me money I really don't want to spend, so this is perfect (and I'll have some extra to participate in Child's Play again). Last year, I put together an AII X3 budget box in November, tested it by doing holiday Folding and DC stuff for a month, and then ended up giving it to relatives as a gift. Six threads folding, or running BOINC projects for $125 will be nice, as well as economical, especially if I can get the CPU to OC a little.

I jumped on this for my basic system. It had a Popus 820 in it which wasn't that bad. I'm running on a cheap board ECS A780GM-M3 (V1.0) 95w which has very little OC functions. (No core voltage adj just FSB/HT/MemDiv)

I threw it in, checked it at base speed, dropped the HT to 1800, memory div to 333 from 400, and set the FSB to 230 = 3mhz and it runs like a charm.

I definitely notice the 6mb L3, it's much snappier.

Running 15% OC on a 95w board could be a bit taxing, we'll see.
