A petition would work a lot better since it would get far more support by a wide audience rather than us dorks complaining in this thread. How many complaints will get here? 7? 10 at the most? A petition will net at least 50,000 signatures and then that would say Newegg, change the freaking search back to what it was.

That's very sad, John. You are more important than I fear you think. I have accomplished things all by my little myself people who know first hand can't believe AND WILL CONTINUE TO. Often, on behalf of OTHERS. Thing is, EVERYONE CAN! And this is a THREAD. Nobody got the obvious of linking Newegg to it RIGHT OFF?

No petitions, no rage, no GUNS NEEDED.

They are going to change it back when they see how much business they lose. The search on their site was the one big thing going for it.

Although it's so good I would use the newegg search to compare products and then find the one I like on Amazon to buy there with prime. But hey at least it got me to Newegg and I might still buy something there. Now they will lose visits and a chance for something to catch your eye.

Again, a huge enemy in life is feeling helpless when there is no need. We are engineered to be otherwise! JUST SPEAK UP. Will take no time and every individual can make a difference. It will also do you a world of good, TAKE ROOT, germinate, sprout leaves and then flowers!!!!

I already e-mailed Customer Service but I'll gladly sign any e-petitions people get going. Try looking for a laptop on there - even "power search" doesn't let you limit it in any functional way. That was what set Newegg apart for me - the way I could sort and narrow down parts by the functions I wanted. They'll lose lots of business from the techier folks I'll wager.

Guess what, they fixed it. I'm guessing somebody broke it on Friday afternoon and didn't get back into the office until this morning.

These threads are read and responded to from time to time.

So I guess voicing our displeasure here isn't a total waste of energy... Hmm :p

Hope it stay's this way, I suspect they might have been doing some testing or someone just screwed up.

Thanks so much.:) Yes, I am small outside, but I kinda exhaust everyone. I honestly think happiness is a capacity, and life is kinda thrilling adventue. Plus MY CORES AIN PARKED!:sneaky: Forget, once a cheerleader.....always a cheerleader. Seriously.():)

I am in the midst of linking Newegg to this thread.....cause I got tired of thinking about it. It upsets me when good people who need not be.....feel helpless.

Hey.

Not sure if this has been put right or not, but just so I can stop thinking about it, I just logged onto Newegg and send what I will paste below.

Why nobody did the SIMPLE OBVIOUS NORMAL of emailing, linking, real time chatting IMMEDIATELY....is, for me, a very shocking thing. And, for me, THAT is real issue in this, not the apparent issue re Newegg's change of policy. It's about normal life and coping skills, apolitical communication and never living in terror when there is NO NEED.

Strikes me, that I was raised to celebrate this normal is one reason I find gaming ENTIRELY BORING. At it's heart it is not only isolated with no dynamic, it is static, JUST ILLUSION WHERE NOBODY every really risks, learns, grows coping chops for real!!

I am pasting.

Hi.
I’ve been a happy occasional customer here forever. Still have the (GINORMOUS BUT WHO CARES?) orange T shirt with the Newegg logo U guys once sent me, lol

But, right now, there are tons of seriously tech obsessed humans on the worldclass site I am a member of, who are wild with upset re a recent change U guys made to yr search options which clearly, was a huge mistake for ALL INVOLVED. (We ALL MESS UP, IT'S LIFE.)

So, I need to link you just so I (and Santa) can stop thinking about this.

I could not believe nobody was being normally pro active & reaching out to you guys, given you are NEWEGG and would have gotten it immediately.

I just visited the thread, and today, it seems it’s possible U guys already fixed it, but just in case not, I am linking U to the thread. There, I am Virgorising.

Many thanks for yr attention to this serious issue!

As long as the voicing is done elegantly, it NEVER, EVER IS a waste of time!

It is normal, our birthright, our engineering as individuals within the collective. Nor is reclaiming the simple joy of actively celebrating what is good and excellent automatically! One coin, two sides.

THAT, I submit,in this thread, is the Real AND INVALUABLE Lesson.

I was trying to search motherboards yesterday and like you could not even select ITX? Sometimes on searches I wish you could exclude fields also. You can search by ITX if you select it first right after going to "Intel Motherboards". It might depend what order you select the options from. Of course there may be a glitch in their program or it could also be partly browser specific.

I wish they kept track of how many motherboards have been purchase and how many had to be returned i.e. RMA'd. Sometimes only the dissatisfied customers write reviews. So If I buy something I always review it.

BUT, while disGUSTING, that is not THEIR FAULT. That, is the fault of the decline and fall of quality ACROSS THE BOARD post Globalization!!!! Underage humans making all this stuff in Third World countries....to further enrich Big Business at the expense of quality.

Newegg don make things; they sell things already made.

I agree! Newegg does not need to follow suit with Amazon's search code. Shopping at Amazon is like shopping @ Ebay...terrible. You better know what you're trying to purchase before visiting. Never, ever do this again. You have been cautioned.

Searching for the right motherboard @ Newegg probably took me 10 minutes more or longer overall (that I don't have the power to get back) than it would've before the search system got annihilated. I did not buy anything I did not want to this time. I did buy something a little while ago that I no longer want or need, but if they charge me a restock, I don't know if I'll return it because I'd lose so much on that and shipping.

I still need a USB extension cable and a hub so that the wireless K/B and mouse respond better. Let's see if the search is actually useful again. I might as well search for it on Amazon if things aren't better.

Be patient. Give them a chance to put it all right. Everyone messes up....forget, there are GREMLINS.:sneaky:

They are good people. And now, they know, even just via this thread, but bet they were deluged by clients in dismay. Cut slack.
