I did not contact them, except to say when the ASUS P8P67 DELUXE got back in stock, I wanted an advanced RMA (by email)

Then a manager at newegg called ME today, out of the blue ! And gave me his personal email address there.

New ways to exceed customer expectations, they rock !

Damnit I'm still waiting for Micro Center. I hope they pull through with the $25 GC they hinted. Would soften the blow of the long drive and toll roads.

I wish exxx.com is half decent in terms of customer service. Never contacted me by any means. I have to send dozens of emails asking about RMA a P67 mobo that I bought from them.

Lessons learned this will be last time dealing with them.

You bought a motherboard from a porno portal? That might be your problem.

Mine is out for delivery from the local UPS facility this morning. The only painful part of the process is the 7 day expiration of the UPS return label they provided. It means I can't wait until the weekend to swap out the board and have to take apart my main system as soon as I get home from work today. Other than that very minor gripe Newegg had handled this great for me and I am very satisfied with the service.

Got an email last Friday from Newegg regarding my Asrock Extreme6, responded that night and received a call from them on Monday for the advance rma. Should be receiving my replacement by Friday. Woohoo!

Linflas, I had the same question about the return label too so I called. The guy I spoke to said not to worry and to just contact them when I'm ready to return the recalled board and they'll issue a new UPS return label.

I must take for granted having 2 frys locations and a microcenter within 10 minutes drive of me...

Newegg called me yesterday and my board has shipped. About the expiration of the UPS label I was told that if it expires just call them and they'll issue a new one.

Uh, yeah, I live in Wisconsin. Gotta drive down to the Chicago area for one Fry's and two Micro Centers. There are toll roads, plus the nearest one (I think Central Micro Center) is around 60 miles away. I usually go to the Westmont Micro Center which is just under 70 miles away, but is reasonably close to the Fry's in case I want to hit both places.

Have to applaud the free overnight shipping for the replacement and free return shipping.

I bought P8P67 Pro from Superbizz, and they were totally useless regarding the recall.

It was quite painless and quick dealing directly with Asus, though..

""Re: UPS RMA Return Shipping Labels from Newegg
If you've been set up for an RMA or an advanced RMA, Customer Service will create a UPS shipping label for you to return your old motherboard. The shipping label will be sent to you via email, so check your spam box if you did not receive it within 24 hours of getting your RMA confirmation. Customer Service can re-send the email or send a direct message with the image attached if you're having any problems. The email will state that the shipping label expires in 7 days, but please bear in mind that the tracking number will actually stay active within the UPS system for 30 days.""

My problem is I have this ASROCK+EWIZ deadly combination. Nobody wants to take care the defective P67. I wonder if it's the time to file credit card dispute to speed things up.

I talked the them initially last Thursday and that is pretty much the speech the woman on the phone gave me except for the part about the tracking code. The implication was that I had 7 days to use the shipping label. I asked her if that was business days or all days and she replied all. So initially I was looking at a label that they would send me with a 7 day timer starting on Friday for a board I was scheduled to receive the following Wednesday so 5 of the 7 days would already be used. It ended up that they didn't send the link with the emails they sent out regarding the board so I called them on Monday and they regenerated it then and emailed me the link so my 7 days actually started Monday. I went ahead and swapped it out last night and the return is waiting here at work for the UPS guy when he drops by. I had to mightily resist the urge to keep the extra set of EZ connectors. :sneaky:

Wow Newegg is awesome. They called me up, setup my Advanced RMA, shipped the new Mobo next day air, and are paying for return shipping. They just called me yesterday and the new motherboards alright out for delivery shipping from California to New York.

Yea, it was weird getting a call from newegg. I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer the first time. My new board is on it's way. I still think it's a pain having to replace the board and some have had to re-install Windows, I want Intel to pay me for my time : )

Your time has zero value given that you'd otherwise be futzing around on Anandtech and/or futzing around with tweaking your OC and re-running benchs over and over. Might as well take 30 mins of that busy packed schedule and get your hands back into the PC case......

(the above is meant to be humorous and not an insult and can just as easily be directed at me.......I just always find it funny when people in life say OH MAN I'M SOOOO BUSY BLAH BLAH BLAH and then they spend 3 hours screwing around on the internet or watching some idiotic TV show)
