On Monday moring (around 10AM) ordered some in-stock parts from both Newegg and Mwave for a new rig that I am putting together. Both retailers showed that the parts were in stock. Because I want the parts before this weekend I paid for 2nd day shipping from both companies.

Mwave courteously responded to my email in just a few hours with a Federal Express tracking number showing that my item will arrive on Wednesday.

Newegg didn't respond to my email until today... no tracking number or explanation, they indicated that "your order is being processed in our warehouse and should ship out in a couple of days". WTF?!?!?! I didn't pay an extra $30 shipping to get something next week!

Newegg service is seriously starting to slip. I have spent over $3000 with them over the last two years but I seriously think that this is the last order that they will take from me. I will happily pay a little more to deal with a retailer that can follow through on the pledge to ship same day on orders recieved by 11AM.

Newegg's website clearly states that all orders take 24 to 48 hours to process before they ship. After dozens of orders from them, I've yet to have one ship in less than 24 hours.

That being said, my orders from MWave always ship the same day if I order before 2 or 3 Pacific time. :)

Well, every other retailer (mwave, buy.com, etc, etc) I deal with can ship an order out same day if recieved before 2pm (and I ordered at 10am). Maybe they need to think about implementing this.

It really doesn't bother me if it takes 24-48 hrs to process an order that is going to ship by their normal fedex ground saver shipping... but when I am paying extra for speedy shipping the least they could do is bump those orders to go out the same day.

Newegg is among a few websites that don't ship your order the same day, my experience anyway.

I agree but unfortunately they don't. I got burned once by ordering something overnight and paying out the wazzoo for it assuming they would bump up the 'processing' time but nope, 48 hours to process and then ship. 72 hours. :(

Sorry man, that's your own stupidity. Their website tells you it will take 24-48 hours. This IS the internet and online ordering. If you needed something mission critical, you are much better off getting it at CompUSA/BestBuy/Fry.

Don't blame NewEgg and say they've slipped for your inability to read :)

Maybe if there is enough of a public outcry they will speed up their processing time... I suspect that newegg doesn't actually have any inventory... the delay in processing probably has something to do with getting the item from one of their distributors before it is shipped.

regardless, no other retailer I deal with has the problem... they do need to do something to speed up the processing of priority orders.

maybe they are gettin a little too big for their britches will all the referrals they get from Anandtech.. I am going to start "flipping" friends and co-workers to mwave probably.

ya, that's right I'm stupid... I would have to be F1cking stupid to assume that high priority shipping would go out the same day I ordered.

give me a break.

Yeah I see your point. Also, they charge too much in shipping. I can get the same parts for almost the exact same prices at other stores who charge more reasonable shipping, and get it shipped the same day. I don't use Newegg anymore.

Yeah, I did the same thing. I tried giving Newegg a try again and their shipping process is rediculously slow. And they ended up shipping the wrong product to me. If I wanted the correct product I would have to pay return shipping and a 15% restocking fee. Yeah, right.

Edit: What they shipped to me was a lesser item than what I paid for and something I could have bought cheaper at CompUSA.

Well, I really don't have a problem with newegg as far as their products, price and service go. I have even had to have an RMA once and they handled it in a quick and courteous manner.

Someone pointed out that I shouldn't expect more when ordering from the internet... I beg to differ... the big push in e-commerce is same day shipment and most of newegg's competitors do it that way.

I agree, Mwave's processing seems to be a day or two ahead of Newegg's,
I paid for the 2day shipping on a Newegg item..took 1 week (5 business days)..ever since then, I assume I get the part 1 week from when I order it and take the reg shipping.
I ordered 2 WD120gb drives from Mwave on Monday night @9pm, they came in Thursday @10am, thats with reg shipping

Not to say your stupid, but if newegg bumped up processing time on same day shipped items, they would probably say so - which they don't.
