Seems like these (along with the G chips) have been cheaper in the not-so-distant past, I recall seeing the 5600X for $175 at least, if not cheaper. MC has it for $180 still. Wondering what the overall pricing trend for Zen3 will be with upcoming Zen4, as socket change and availability of Zen3 chips may keep the prices at where they are, they may even go into the stratosphere again towards the end of their run like 3200G/3400G did. Not sure if we can expect big dips in pricing, other than 1-offs from time to time.

They should drop. I have seen the 5600 @ $150 and the 5600X @ $175. 5600G @ $132. 5700X @ $200.
That's what I paid for mine, and it's $149 today with the $50 code AMD3736 . If the buyer doesn't want to mess with overclocking they can go in the UEFI pick ECO mode with the +200MHz and it will be a stock 5600X at 45W. That's how I run mine in mITX.
