Yah, I saw that other post a few minutes ago...makes this a lot more "meh" now. Guess I'll just hold out for now then.

i know i was honestly expecting about the same deal from NE on it but this is just meh.

especially since target is offering a WD for 69.99 (might be in store only though)
Western Digital 2TB Desktop Hard Drive $69.00

Can anyone tell me how hard it is to have good cable management (not a mess inside the case) with the Antec 380 PSU? It looks like those wires would be everywhere.
...
Antec 600 Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...N82E1681112907

PSU is mounted on the bottom.

So it will be able to look nice?

Why wouldn't it look nice? Easy! Install PSU. Plug in all your hardware just like you would with a modular PSU. Then, take the remaining excess cables and fold them up all together - think of what your power cord looked like before you took the twist tie off it. After the cables are folded up, put a twist tie or cable/zip tie around the bunch. Now, either shove it into the first empty drive bay right in front of it, or just leave it wedged at the bottom of the case between the PSU and whatever is in front of it. Voila! Cables are out of the way and will not impact airflow (not that they do). Also, a neat bundle of cables doesn't look too bad.

Cables can, and do, impede airflow if they are enough of them. A string of molex connectors won't do much, but depending on the PSU the amount of leftover cables can be quite immense.

LG W2486L Black 24" 2ms(GTG) HDMI LED Backlight LCD Monitor Slim Design 250 cd/m2 DC 2000000:1 for $199 with coupon code : EMCZZZN57

Worth it?

Seriously? All the empty space that all the empty hard drive and optical drive bays leave in a computer, and a small bundle of cables 1" in diameter impedes airflow immensely?

are there any coupon codes for hard drives in general? i am looking to get ether a WD 1.5 or 2tb black drive

Don't know if it is still valid, but try this:

10% off any hard drive - EMCZZYR25

2TB for $80? That's the equivalent of something like 460 DVDs. Figuring 100 good DVDs cost about $20 this drive at this price now cracks the barrier where it's cheaper to store files on a drive rather than on discs. I've never seen that before. Now the question is, do I need that kind of storage? Yes, I think I do.

1. NO
2. no stacking of coupons on Newegg, for the same product

Of course, you need to calculate the cost of a additional 2TB HD, for when the first one fails on you... I am sure you will be POed at losing 2TB of data...
(This applies to all huge HDs, not just this one)

The cables that impede airflow are more stuff like ribbon cables, ATX cables can, and big bundles of cables. Realistically, with SATA cables and the SATA/molex power connectors won't block much air though.
