Yea, that sucked when I had to move down to SoCal for a fews years (company's home office). Now I'm back in the Northwest and ordering from Newegg again with no taxes.
 
If people are looking for cards, hit up Mwave. They don't have a huge selection, but they are lower then the egg if you join Mclub. Even shipping is less.

But the gtx 470 that i got from the Egg was $15 less that Mwave's price (not including the promo code) And was $229 at the egg (apromo) :awe:
 
Since I moved to NJ (one of rare Newegg tax state), I literally stopped shopping at Newegg unless there is a significant deal 😛 So, MWave has better deal for me on HD6850. lol
 
newegg coupon is "only available while funds last" so could end before Nov 12. mwave shipping is $3 vs $8 and mclub members have been issued coupons recently such that the Gigabyte 6850 could effectively be lower. You can also try superbiiz/ewiz as they routinely issue coupons as well. Or just wait a short while for supply and prices to normalize.

Which GTX 470 did you get? I just returned my PNY GTX470 to Fry's and can't decide which GTX 470 to get from NewEgg..:hmm:
 
I bought the EVGA 012-P3-1470-AR GeForce GTX 470, Cant give a review on it though because it comes tomorrow 🙂
 
My 6850 cards are being shipped as we speak. This deal is awesome because...

taxes ! it saved me on taxes 😛

plus their HQ is close to my home...fast delivery w/ ground shipping = win

Totally agree. The 10% pretty much covered taxes and shipping. Mine should be coming in tomorrow too. :awe:
