And ripping/encoding blu-ray is a bag of hurt.. face it, if you're going to break the law anyway it's faster to just download already encoded rips

I don't see it as breaking the law to rip the BR/HD DVDs I own onto the HDD to watch. That way I don't have to listen to my BR-rom spinning while I'm watching the movie and it also tends to smooth out any hitches that can come from disk access times.
