I am new to OC'ing and this was my first attempt. I got my 3800x2 to run 2.5ghz stable and cool
I have it setup as follows
cpu 1.45v
10x250mhz
HT x 4
250mhz 3-3-3-8-1t 2.8v
Not bad for my first shot, thats 4800X2 performance! Nice to know you can take a $300 cpu and get it to perform as well as $600 one with a few easy changes to the bios. I just need some decent cooling and Ill be fine. Whats the safe voltage and temp range for the 3800x2?? I dont wanna push it to hard, i just wanted to see what it was capable of on air I will probably run it 2.4ghz so I dont push it to hard esecially with the small cooler I have currentl(gigabyte ghed-821). Im thinking of water cooling, more for the quietness than for the OC abilitys. Whats about the fastest these 3800x2's are running??
thanks
