Newbie system Builder looking at Lian Li case and MSI NForce problem

Folks,

I am having a blast building my first system in a long, long time. I got an Nforce board, with a great Lian Li PC 69 case. Here are my problems:

On the back of the mounting plate there is a fan, with a three plug connector. I have no idea where to put this plug in to get power to the rear fan. I assume there is a place on the mainboard to plug it into, but with so many fans on the case, I am not sure where it goes on the board. The Nforce manual and web site had no answer I could find. With no Lian Li tech website that I can find, please let me know where I can attach this bad boy to get the fan power.

Secondly, the floppy drive and CDRW are standard beige, and you know how ugly that looks with an aluminum case. The DVD drive I have is a dark gray, which is better, but still ugly. Are there any other alternatives
to finding paint and painting the faces to match? If there are no alternatives, what paint color is a good choice?

Thank you for you help!

Sincerely,

John Kay

there shold bea fan header near the front of the MB to accomodate a case fan, otherwise you need an adapter to run it off the power supply

It likes like l shape with three prongs coming up out of it and it is usualliu beige/white in color.

There should be 2 fan 3 fan headers on your board. One will be fan1 which is for your CPU. The others are located probably by the AGP slot and by the edge of the board. 🙂
