I have a question about RAID...

Ya'll know how they say "if one drive dies, you lose data on all the drives"... lets say the drive dies and is permanently damaged. Do all the other drives become permanently damaged as well?
 
If running RAID 0 yes the data is lost, if one of the drives is phyically damaged, data will be lost but it is highly doubtful that the other drive will have the same physical damage
