I just built my first computer, and now I'm in the tweaking stage. I don't think my memory timings are very good, how do I change them in the Bios? My timings are 2.5-4-4-8. Also, should my 3000+ really be running at 20degrees C? That seems very cool.

my CPU is running in the 20-25 range, as well, so i think the sensor is a bit low. Still, A64s run decently cool, esp. the 90nm ones. As for the timings, they seem a bit loose. If you go in to Frequency/Voltage options, there is a DRAM configuration option. Go there and manually change the timings. You can probably hit 2.5-3-3-8 or even 2-3-3-8. Also, if you can, try going into 1T timings. For this option, you'll need to download the newest beta bios, which i highly recommend since my memory stability was atrocious before i downloaded it.

By SPD it's rated to run at 217 MHz with 2.5-4-4-8 timings, with a voltage of just 2.5V.
...
Performance of the memory was moderate, even at 200 MHz FSB they would only run at 2-3-3-6 timings, With a voltage of 2.8V they went up to about 216 MHz FSB.
(somewhat verified by Kingmax's website ... both DDR433 and DDR400 have CAS-2.5 ratings)

Those might be the best that you can do at that particular speed. You might be able to push it lower, but if they're rated to go lower why would Kingmax not SPD them lower? It doesn't hurt to try, certainly, but just be forewarned that you might not be able to push them very far.

EDIT -- fixing links ... :D
