Newbie question on OCing GPU

OK, I have been doing a little surfing around the web for some "how to guides", and from what I gather ATI Tool is the best to use for ATI cards. I am trying to OC my Sapphire Radeon X800 GTO2.

From what I read so far, it seems like a fairly straight forward operation:

1) First, I click "Find Max Core"
2) Next, I click "Find Max Mem"
3) Last, I click "Set Clocks"

I figure that it can't be this simple, so I was wondering if I can get tips from you pros out there on some other things to look out for so I don't fry my GPU.

Also, I was also wondering if overclocking the GPU in BIOS produces a better result, or is a better methodology. From all the GPU OC guides I read, it seems that everyone uses 3rd party Windows tools, however, I remember from a CPU OC guide, that it is better to OC in BIOS. Is it better to OC the GPU in BIOS?
