Newbie Question, needs help with Visor Deluxe

Ok, i just got a Visor Deluxe and can't figure out how to get the D**m thing to Sync up, or get the modem to work right, so far the tech support lines' have been less than helpful, anyone know what they're doing and want to lend a newbie a hand????

set the thing on the cradle, boot up the hotsync manager on the computer, hit the hotsync button on the cradle should do it just fine
