Okay, I just bought my first ever DDR sticks for my new puter (w/ ABIT IC7 MB),and of course I know nothing about DDR timings. I got Kingston HyperX PC3500 512MB X2. Now I want to make sure that I match up the timings of the ram with the motherboard BIOS, yet I have No Idea which RAM # is for what BIOS setting?? I go on Kingston?s website, and that?s no help. Here are the listed timings: 2-3-3-7-1. Could someone link those numbers to the CAS Latency, Active to Precharge Delay, RAS to CAS Delay, and RAS Precharge.

I want to make sure I assign correct numbers in the MB Bios, for each RAM setting, yet I'll prolly screw it up if I don't know which number is which.

(Also, if I run the ram at its 2-3-3-7-1 settings, is that what?s referred to as tight timings? If I run into stability problems at tight timings, can I bump the numbers higher to get stability?)

Thanks and I hope someone can help out.

2=cas latency
3=ras cas delay
3=ras precharge
7=act to precharge delay

You can usually tell what goes where when your in the bios. Higher settings usually increase stability.
